About the artist
Boo Ray's been a SiriusXM Outlaw Country Radio favorite since his 'Bad News Travels Fast' album released in 2010.
Tom Petty Radio has been playing Boo Ray since the release of his 2016 'Sea Of Lights' album', which he recorded with his close friend and mentor, Steve Ferrone of The Heartbreakers, on drums. Boo Ray is much loved and regularly played by Texas Radio, Americana Radio, European Radio, and SiriusXM stations.
Boo Ray's released new records every couple of years since 2010, and has been turning in fierce live performances with extended twin guitar jams, lots of pedal steel solos, improvisational musical interludes, a la Jason Isbell, Blackberry Smoke, American Aquarium, Mike And The Moonpies, Dwight Yoakam, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, and Zac Brown. Boo Ray often opens his live set with Billys Joe Shaver's 'Fast Train To Georgia', plays for the first 30 minutes without stopping, and continues to perform a high-octane three hour long set with no breaks.
Boo's known for his off-hand southern wit, self-effacing humor, and charming storytelling. Boo Ray's live performances are shows. As he says, Boo Ray's "in Show Business."
